Thermal wear is becoming increasingly popular as comfort makes a comeback – but not all thermals out there are based on solid science.

More than 50 years ago, home-shopping fashion brand Damart developed and patented Thermolactyl, a manmade fibre used in its thermals which is renowned for its ability to provide warmth without chunky layers.
