Three half marathons under three hours
Never were three weary travelers more delighted to shout "I can see the sea!" than MCG's magnificent Great North runners Sarah, Christine and Joss, last weekend. The girls completed the 13.1 mile course in fine style crossing the finishing line at South Shields with the sun glinting on the waves. Their efforts raised more than £500 for their chosen charities and our client Tori Branch from Leisure Connection also completed the race raising money for Wheel Power.
Sadly Becca was unable to join them, but she has vowed to complete her race later this month when she is fully fit. Sarah's highlight of the race was a high five with Sting at the start line whilst Christine enjoyed the Red Arrows frequent fly pasts, Joss says proper chips at the end were definitely the best bit. All agreed the fantastic atmosphere was inspirational.
