MCG in Bloom
Following on from the arrival of Newby and Boo, the honorary MCG chickens, the MCG team has continued in its quest to achieve complete self-sufficiency by creating its very own herb and vegetable garden.
The garden was built with the bare hands of MCG staff and hopes to provide the office with fresh parsley, red onion, peas, rocket, radish, coriander, courgettes and mint.
"Its purpose, as well as providing the office with its five a day, is to encourage the team to occasionally get some fresh air and a change of scene away from their desks by going outside to tend the plants or pick a few leaves," said MCG director Kate Gray.
A strict watering schedule is being enforced to keep the garden healthy and an expansion is on the horizon so watch this space...
