Man from Del Monte says yes to MCG
Everyone from MCG will be certain of getting their five-a-day after being appointed to launch Del Monte frozen fruit in Spring/Summer 2009.
Launching initially with different punnets of fruit, two smoothie mixes and gorgeous pineapple Fruitsticks, Del Monte frozen fruit will be distributed through Denuo Foods Ltd and will compete in a category worth £32 million a year, but one which is currently dominated by own label.
Working alongside a £1 million marketing campaign to position the brand as "Only the freshest fruit...frozen", MCG is promoting the products across the trade and consumer media.
Sarah Chadwick who heads up the new account said: "We're delighted to be working with Denuo Foods to promote this new category of fruit from such a premium brand as Del Monte. We've got a lot of different and fun ideas to encourage retailers and consumers to buy into the new products. Frozen food is experiencing something of a renaissance at the moment as leading brands have stressed the health benefits of frozen food and consumers look to eat more naturally and avoid waste so it's a great time to be launching."
