Most of the time we love our jobs here at MCG but sometimes it's nice to do something creative as a team without having to be mindful of objectives and returns on investment. The Spot Colour project is the result of one of the many "what if we..." type conversations we have at work. It's our attempt to do something creative every day. We discussed what it is that inspires us, lifts our mood, captures our attention and adds something to our lives every day. We decided it's a spot of colour – real or metaphorical.
So, starting from 1 July 2010 we will take a picture of something special every day using the theme of colour to build a mosaic of images during the course of a year. We're not sure what we'll do with the spots yet, but we're looking forward to choosing them and seeing the patterns that emerge.
This month we've also created McGlog – the MCG Blog. It's a place where everyone at MCG is able to post their thoughts about anything they would like to share with visitors to our site, particularly topics related to public relations, communications and the media. From time to time we'll be hearing from guest bloggers as well as members of the MCG team. If you have something to say then please let us know – email kate.gray@mcgpr.co.uk with your comment.
