E.ON

Promoting energy efficiency is hugely important to our client E.ON because it is a crucial part of protecting our energy supplies for the future. MCG's role is to use PR to educate everyone from students to pensioners about the many energy efficiency projects they can get involved with as an E.ON customer.

Mamas and Papas

MCG has worked with E.ON for six years and during that time our role has developed to reflect the changes in the dynamic energy market. E.ON currently uses MCG's specialist knowledge of the national and regional media across the UK to raise awareness of its environmental credentials.

We like a challenge so we welcomed the opportunity to take E.ON's story to new places. In order to target the highly popular homes and interiors magazines MCG recently recruited primetime TV presenter and interior design consultant Naomi Cleaver to help E.ON demonstrate how you can save energy with style. We asked the writer and broadcaster, who also has her own design studio and advises major high street retailers and brands, to put together some simple energy saving tips designed to enhance homes as well as environmental credentials.

We arranged a photo shoot in Naomi's home to illustrate the tips and have achieved coverage worth over £30,000 across a wide range of titles including Easy Living, Your Home, Traditional Homes & Interiors and House & Home Ideas with a mix of features, competitions and promotions in the homes and women's titles. E.ON will also be issuing Naomi's home energy saving tips through its energy efficiency helpline and Home Energy Check visits across the UK.
