Chapel Allerton Arts Festival and Seven

We're keen to be involved in our local community and for several years we've supported the fantastic Chapel Allerton Arts Festival with campaigning, publicity and sponsorship. We are also involved with the new community arts space, Seven, which has been built here on our doorstep in Chapel Allerton.

Seven was born from the success of the Festival, a week-long extravaganza of dance, poetry, art, music and comedy that started in 1998 and now attracts thousands of people of all ages from the local community and way beyond. Seven aims to deliver and enable high quality, innovative and cutting edge arts activity including theatre, dance, music, film and digital arts in its 100 seat theatre. There is also a café bar area and outside performance space for smaller and more informal events such as poetry and jazz.

We've been delighted to be a part of this exciting project from the outset, helping to promote events and campaigning for support for the development of Seven. Our work has helped to ensure that Seven has been completed, a unique achievement in Leeds because it is not in receipt of core funding from Arts Council England and almost half the build cost came from private donation with the other main funder being the European Regional Development Fund.

“MCG PR has been key in helping to build up awareness of the festival and, most recently Seven. This has been invaluable in enabling us to attract key funding and sponsors as well as creating buy-in from the local community and local authorities.”
