Really interesting blog post... The food at Moro was lovely and I agree the yoghurt cake dessert was divine - a zingy mix of fresh flavours. Thanks again!

I've committed to not using the word 'amazing' in the off chance that it stops people saying 'amazeballs'.

I love a bit of local food shopping and I'm lucky enough to have the whole range of stores on my doorstep. I really do shop local because on a Saturday morning Holmfirth is a much nicer place to be than any supermarket I know.

I get my bread from The Handmade Bakery Co-op, meat from the butcher in New Mill, bacon from Coddy's Farm and fish from Holmfirth Fresh Fish. Longley Farm dairy has a shop and ice cream parlour on the high street and there is a market stall or Andrews for fruit and veg. On the way back to the car I go to the WI Country Market where I buy jam, meat, baking, vegetables and plants.

It might sound very countrified and Larkrise to Candleford, but most of these guys are on Twitter and they work extremely hard to compete with the big boys. I'm lucky to have the time and resources to buy local food, but I spend more when I go to the supermarket and I certainly waste more too!

It is all down to personal taste - the low fat Mullers were by far my favourite! I hate the full fat ones - they just taste of cow!

Glad you enjoyed The Music Room - I loved the way he linked scientific discovery with intensely personal memory. The writing is so evocative without ever being sentimental.

I am the "man" from the party.
Maybe some of my comments were alcohol influenced and I am sure I will have been affected by PR in the past. I guess my personal uncertainty relates to the value of investing in PR from the perspective of a medium sized technology company selling solutions to around 100 international companies. Not a negative view but more of an open minded uncertainty. Anyway the party was fun and the chat was intersting!
