Milk chocolate put to the test

Dave our current work experience summed it up perfectly last week: “I know never to get between a girl and her chocolate!”  With this is mind, we decided to fine tune our tastebuds ready for the inevitable onslaught of chocolate this Christmas and put milk chocolate to the test.

As a self confessed chocoholic, (I will always choose it over cheese in the office ‘chocolate or cheese’ debate), I thought this would be quite an easy one with most brands, including the cheaper ones, doing quite well.  All milk chocolate is nice, right?

How wrong we were!

Instead of the anticipated oohs and aahs of tasting each treat, it actually became a struggle to reach for the next brand as we soon realised that perhaps, shock horror, milk chocolate isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Claggy, fake, even gross were just some of the comments used and the eventual winner, Galaxy, only scored a measly 94 out of 150, with Cadbury coming a close second.

As ever, another shock from today’s test, this time we’ve all been left feeling a bit disheartened and generally sick at the thought of milk chocolate.  I’m certainly questioning my love for it; perhaps I’ll go for cheese from now on…

1st Galaxy

2nd Cadbury

3rd Co-op

4th Milka

5th Green and Blacks

6th Asda

    I demand a re-test. I can’t believe the results and I wasn’t there. Galaxy! No way!
